Tata Motors is expanding the Sierra nameplate into the electric era with the Sierra EV expected in Q1 2026. Rumoured to come with 55 kWh and 65 kWh battery options supporting both rear- and all-wheel-drive layouts, it’s expected to deliver 450–500 km of range on a single charge. Prices could range from around ₹20 lakh to ₹25 lakh (ex-showroom).


Maruti Suzuki e Vitara

January 2026 will see Maruti Suzuki make its passenger EV debut with the e Vitara. Built on the HEARTECT-e architecture, it’s expected in 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery guises with ARAI-claimed ranges of 344–543 km. The 61 kWh versions will also debut Suzuki’s ALLGRIP-e electric 4WD system with a Trail Mode for enhanced off-road capability.


VinFast Limo Green

VinFast plans a full-scale push into India’s EV market with models including the seven-seat Limo Green MPV. Positioned against rivals like the Kia Carens Clavis EV, it packs a 60.13 kWh battery with a 150 kW motor producing 280 Nm and a claimed range of up to 450 km on a charge.


Hyundai Ioniq 5 Facelift

Due around June 2026, the refreshed Hyundai Ioniq 5 will bring updated styling and functional improvements, including redesigned bumpers, grille tweaks and added physical controls inside. Tata Avinya
